Bike Rides

For a bit of history – and possibly some retail therapy – you can visit Galle Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is just 15 minutes. 

Water Sports

Surfing is popular on the local beaches. Weilgama Beach with a number of local surf schools only 20 minutes drive away.  In Bentota there are water skiing facilities and jet skis.

Turtles

Early morning on the beach you can expect to see turtles laying their eggs. The Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery, protecting these eggs, is just a stroll down the beach in Habaraduwa where you can release baby turtles into the ocean.
